Artistic representation of Cochlear Implant. I have shown the cochlea with 16 implanted electrodes. Each colour represents a frequency (higher frequencies = purple/blues, down to yellow/red for lower frequencies). The auditory nerve is represented by the twisting tube on the right of the cochlea, symbolising the sounds flowing & undulating. The patterns/colours below the cochlea show the unfolding beauty of what I can now hear in contrast to the dark void at upper right.
