1805 Foraminifera Evolution

Richard collaborated with Professor Paul Pearson of Cardiff University to create these tiny Middle Eocene marine foraminifera (approx. 45mya). They show the evolution of certain types of foraminifera. Tubulospines (hollow projections) being evolved over time. From left to right in a zigzag arrangement the species are: Claverinella eocanica Claverinella caucasica Hantkenina singanoae type 1 Hantkenina singanoae type 2 Hantkenina mexicana
