Opabinia lived during the Cambrian times. It had five eyes and a pair of jaws at the end of a tube. In this painting, it narrowly misses a Pikaia. Pikaia is probably an ancestor of all back-boned animals such as fish, dinosaurs, whales and Man. Opabinia became extinct - one wonders how it would have evolved if it had lived.
