Scorpion in the Carboniferous A scorpion sits on a fallen sigillaria tree trunk. Wading nearby is an Eryops. A dragonfly (Meganeura) on the right rests on a lepidodendron tree. The other insect in flight on the left is a Palaeodictyoptera.
